The South doesn't understand sentiment. (Loyalty and justice are scarce enough that perhaps that is no surprise.) It stems from the royalty. They are corrupt and the city suffers.

The Starks and the Tullys are...different. I thought their way of thinking was prevalent as a child. I know better now.

But- all we can do is keep going. Just keep being who you are, Sansa. Keep being kind and generous, keep the lessons you were taught by your family and it will make the difference. Being true to who you are will do more than you think.

I am no better than anyone else. (She rests against him, feeling braver and stronger.) The deities of the city have played havoc on us from time to time. I do not think you would recognize me - beyond my appearance - if they made me a child again.
I used to think the same thing about myself, sometimes I still do. My cousins were all smarter, faster, taller than I am. My brother is intelligent and designs architecture, my sister is an accomplished huntress and my youngest brother is skilled with a sword. I really never had any skills that set me apart.
It's hard to remember not to overlook yourself or think of yourself as any less. [If he can help her become stronger and more confident, then he will consider everything worth it. They may not be related by blood but they are family.]
That's alright. No matter what happens here in the city, Maedhros and I will do everything we can to help you.
