"A little. Perhaps you could warm me up?" It wasn't so much as actually feeling the cold so much as he wanted to be close to Maedhros. The cold haunted his mind and he needed to be close to keep the chill at bay.
"Happily," he murmured. Maedhros rolled them until he was resting on top, forearms holding him up just a little. Fingon deserved affection and tender care. When they were alone, Maedhros took great pleasure in showing the depth of how he felt- this time had him pressing tender little kisses, light and fleeting, over Fingon's face.
Fingon was more than happy to relax under Maedhros, tiling his head up at those affectionate little kisses. It was easy to forget the cold on nights like these when they were together.
He shifted to wrap his arms around his cousin's waist, pulling him closer with a soft groan, hands rubbing the small of his back, down to his hips.
That was the idea- to make Fingon forget. To warm every inch of him. Maedhros loved being able to do that for him. His husband was his light, and his life. To be able to heal even a little of the damage done, he would give everything.
The groan sent a shiver through him and his hips rocked down, rubbing slowly against Fingon's. He tilted his head to press a kiss to his husband's neck, nuzzling the skin gently.
He felt warmth spreading through his body, running through every vein. Fingon gasped at the kiss to his neck, shifting against his husband. It was needy and all he could think about was getting closer to him.
He was definitely feeling warm as he started to pull at the ties of Maedhros's robe, fingers steady.
They were alone, didn't have to hide. Maedhros smiled against Fingon's neck and he pushed himself up a little more to make it easier for his husband to untie and push his robes open. He nibbled his way up to tease an ear.
Fingon quickly got his husband's robes off, letting him settle between his legs. "You're cheating," he gasped as Maedhros nibbled on his ear. He let his hands trail down his husband's chest, rubbing each bit of skin he could touch.
Maedhros settled comfortably in place and chuckled. "You would have me no other way," he teased, kissing the sensitive ear. He moaned softly with the teasing fingers and rolled them again- grinning up at Fingon. His hand ran up to smooth down his husband's chest.
"Mm I definitely want you to stay just the same." Fingon squirmed as they were flipped, distracted for a moment for a moment by the kiss. But eventually he pulled away to get up with a pleased grin.
Their first time Fingon had been worried about stripping in front of Maedhros but his husband's reaction had cleared up all those doubts. Maedhros made him feel flawless and perfect and so he liked having him watch every time he took his clothes off.
He kept eye contact with Maedhros as he laid down on the bed, gesturing for him to join him. "Come join me- but- you remember my rule."
Fingon was perfect in every way. He was bright. He was Life. He was heart and so very beautiful. Maedhros couldn't dream of life without him.
Seeing his husband bare himself never grew old or failed to take his breath away. And the way Fingon teased him! Maedhros couldn't help the surprised little laugh but followed him to the bed.
"How could I forget?" This part of Fingon only he got to see. He stretched out, pillowing his head on his bent right arm to watch, left bent so his hand could rest relaxed on his hip. Never looking away.
"Good, because I would kick you out of bed and I would hate to do that," Fingon laughed as he pulled Mae against him, letting their bodies rest against each other as he kissed his husband hard and deep.
He could feel how aroused he was, shifting against Maedhro's hips as he tried to find some kind of relief in the friction. "I want you right now," he murmured breathlessly against his husband's lips. Normally he was all for slowing things down at times but they had been apart far too long. "Where did you put the oil?"
"It would be a sad day indeed were I kicked from my own bed!" Maedhros grinned and pressed against him, letting the kiss lengthen the moment.
He didn't even try to hide his own arousal, pressing his hips forward against his husband's and slipping his hand around to pull Fingon closer. Maedhros kissed him again, then smirked and brought his hand around to stroke his husband's cock. "Under the pillow, Beloved."
"You know I would!" Fingon laughed breathlessly, the laugh turning into a groan as his husband started to stroke him. His hand fumbled under the pillow, in that moment glad that his husband thought ahead. Then again, they usually needed to have it on it.
He dipped his fingers in before reaching for Maedhros's cock, stroking him slowly, taking his time to get him slick as he kissed him back deeply.
"I do!" The groan had Maedhros smirk against Fingon's lips. He'd known his husband would come to him- so of course he'd made sure they wouldn't have to leave the bed once they got there.
His breath caught with the stroking, hips jerking into his husband's hand. "Fingon," he murmured softly.
"Maitimo-" He kept looking at him as he shifted to quickly prep himself before taking hold of his husband's cock to guide him to his entrance. His need was written over his face, in the way his body reacted.
"Take me, I'm yours," he said softly against his husband's lips. He placed absolute trust and love in his husband, without hesitation.
Centuries passed even in Valinor, but eventually the eldest of Feanor's sons let himself do more than just answer Mandos' summons. He was reborn, returned to a body whole and healthy, if so very young. Barely a teenager, by elven standards.
He made some people nervous, but he understood and left them alone. He had faced it all and survived. Had let himself heal, in time. So much time.
Now he walked paths of home, hair just as red as ever and feet bare to the ground. He spent more time alone than he had when he'd last been in Valinor. But Tirion still felt like home. His half-uncle had accepted him, which was more than he'd expected until those arms had opened and warm rooms had been offered in the Noldoran's own home.
But there was one person he knew had been reborn for some time now, that he hadn't dared approach yet, despite wanting to. Instead he'd tried to hide, to stay away as much as he could.
Centuries had dragged on for Fingon in Valinor. He was happy to be reunited with his family but at the same it felt empty. On one hand, he knew that Maedhros most likely was either in the Halls or still alive so he tried to assure himself that it was alright.
Each day dragged on though and each day he felt his heart getting heavier. He knew he shouldn't be selfish but he couldn't help it. He didn't want to accept an eternity without his other half.
He had noticed that others seemed to go out of their way to include him at gatherings and he wondered just how much they suspected. Fingon kept his feelings close to his heart though.
Fingon felt his heart stop again when his uncle had approached him one day to tell him the news. His first reaction was to want to run to Maedhros, to see him once more and catch him up into his arms but something made him pause.
What if Maedhros was angry at him? Disappointed? He hadn't been strong enough to hold out. He felt so caught up, wandering the halls in Tirion.
Yet it was inevitable that they should cross paths and one day Fingon turned a corner to come face to face with an Elf who was very familiar to him, despite his smaller size. "Maedhros..."
"I heard you returned-" Fingon trailed off. He didn't back away though he wasn't sure what to do. He bowed his head for a moment, not sure what Maedhros meant by that.
"I'm happy you've have been given another chance," he said eventually with an honest smile. There was a great deal he wanted to know but he wouldn't ask.
He'd hurt his cousin's feelings already. Maedhros felt his heart sink, but he looked away, searching for a room they could go to to really talk. But he found he couldn't look away from Fingon for more than a breath or two.
"Yes. It was...I am glad to be back." Nothing he said came out right. "We...should talk. Is that spot still near?" Their spot. Their special place to meet. He'd not dared go, for fear of finding it destroyed.
"It is. Undisturbed." Fingon wasn't sure how that was but somehow it was as they had left it their last day in Tirion when they had sneaked off to have one last time with each other. No one could find them there.
Fingon had often spent time there when he had returned but it wasn't the same when he was alone. He turned to lead the way and it didn't take long for them to reach that spot. He knew the way by heart.
Once he was sure no one was nearby he sat on one of the cushions looking at Maedhros. "I'm happy to see you again, Maedhros."
Maedhros just nodded and followed, relieved it was still safe.
He sank down on the cushion he'd once used. Just looking around told him Fingon had come here on his own, and it brought a faint smile to his lips. Fond memories, before all the pain that had followed.
"I am too!" It near exploded out of him, no doubt of the honesty there. "Forgive me!" Finally he could ask that. "I do not blame you if you cannot," hastily. But this was the other half of his heart, he had to ask for that forgiveness.
"Forgive you? There is nothing to forgive. I never blamed you," Fingon assured him quickly. "It's me who should apologize- I should have been stronger and been able to hold out on my own," he said as he looked away. Maedhros was his other half, how could he have caused him that pain?
"I can't imagine what I put you through after my death," he said quietly as he looked up at Maedhros.
Breath shuddered out of him and he bowed his head, letting it hang before he shook his head sharply. "I was too late. I should have moved faster." Somehow. He'd near killed his horse in his haste.
Hesitant, so much shyer than normal, Maedhros inched his way closer, unable to keep from looking at Fingon now that they were so close. Now that no one was around to watch and judge.
"That does not matter now." Firm. He didn't want to talk about how broken Fingon's death had made him. How that one thing had brought him down when even Morgoth and Sauron had failed.
"You have a chance to be happy here now," Fingon said with a smile, deciding that it was best to leave the past alone for now. He wouldn't hold Maedhros to any vows made in a previous life.
He didn't pull away though, smiling at his once partner. "That's all I want for you- you deserve a chance at peace now that you are reunited with so many of our kin."
He reached out to take his cousin's hand affectionately. "Just promise me you'll at least try to find happiness?"
