Then let me make you breakfast. (He grins and slips out of bed, pulling on his blue robe.) What would you like?

Hmmm can I have some fruit and those flat cakes with the syrup on them? [Astaldo said thoughtfully, looking thoughtful as he laid out in the bed, looking over on his side.]

And I hope you'll eat with me, if you're hungry.

[castintoflames]

I will make them. (He tugs on his prosthetic and arches a brow.) Only if you feed me.

(His eyes sparkle mischievously as he walks to the door. The kittens wiggle and jump down to follow him. He might give them food too!)

It's a deal. [Astaldo loved this moments of married life, enjoying breakfast just the two of them and their kittens.

He stretched out, a content smile on his face. Sometimes it was overwhelming how happy he was.]

(It is a shame that not all can remain peaceful. Tambë has trouble cooking - with a stove top especially - and there is a small cry of dismay from the kitchen followed by the clatter of a dish.)

[As soon as he heard the cry Astaldo bolted out of the bed to go see what was wrong. He went right for Tambe, taking his hands in his.]

Love- are you alright?

(The fire is too high on the stove and Tambë looks sick and pale, holding his hand to his chest. He makes a desperate sound in his throat when Astaldo appears, backing as far from the fire as he can get.)

[Astaldo turned the stove down before gathering his lover into his arms protectively.]

It can't hurt you, I won't let it!

(An uneven - and unhinged - laugh leaves his lips and he shakes.)

I burned... It reminded me.

It's alright. [He took Tambe's hand in his, bringing it up to his lips to kiss the burn. He wanted to give his lover something else to focus on, something to try to distract him.]

(There is sensation in his hand - in his fingers. He hasn't lost it and it isn't burned badly. Tambë gives his head a sharp shake and forces himself to breathe.)

Is it... I know it's fine. (The fear is hard to fight.)

Trust me. [Astaldo held Tambe's hand gently as he leaned up to kiss him softly on the lips.]

Why don't you go back to bed-I'll finish breakfast.

I... I do. (He relaxes with a sigh at the kiss, wincing.)

No, I promised.

[consumedbyfire]

Are you sure? [Astaldo asked with concern.]

At least let me help?

[castintoflames]

I just - (He edges to the stove - the batter is ready and it only needs to be poured into the pan.) I wanted to add fruit while it was cooking.

How about blueberries? [He suggested as he went to go find them]

I think that would be delicious!

I put out a bowl of them. (He motions at the counter. A bowl of blueberries is waiting by the batter.)

What do you think of blackberries too?

They can be berry pancakes- I love blackberries too! [He leaned over to steal a blueberry with a flush, he couldn't help himself sometimes but he grabbed one for Tambe as well, holding it up for him to eat.]

(Some happiness enters his eyes and he takes the berry between his lips, kissing Astaldo's finger.)

Just...stay with me? I will be fine. (He moves to the stove and turns on the fire again, heating up the pan after he sprayed it.)

Of course! [Astaldo laughed softly when Tambe kissed his finger before going to get plates and couple of glasses. He poured them both some juice that they could have with their breakfast.]

(He might seem overly careful as he pours the batter and adds the blueberries, but this is a new skill for him. Even his neck is red as he turns to look at his lover.)

I've added sugar. We may not need syrup.

I'll get some out in case, but we can try the pancakes and decide. [He said as he set the bottle out.]

OH! I wonder if chocolate sauce would be any good on pancakes...

Your sweet tooth would likely approve. (Tambë grins and turns over the pancake with a spatula.) Chocolate and blueberries sounds nice.

[Astaldo beamed as he got the chocolate sauce ready, unable to stop himself from dipping in a finger and linking the chocolate off of it. He paused then as he realized Tambe had seen him do that, slowly setting the jar aside.]

I hope it tastes good!

(The scent draws him too. Between pancakes, he dips a blueberry into the sauce and tastes it.)
